Back by popular demand! A day of free fun in arguably Colchester’s prettiest street, full of great independents! What’s not to love?
It’s official – the street closure signs have gone up:
Trinity Traders, the association of independent businesses that line beautiful Trinity Street, has long been an example of what a difference indies can make to a town, with their efforts for Colchester in Bloom and their support and promotion of each other and Colchester itself. Last year’s one-day event, the very first Trinity Street Festival, was so well-attended that they have decided to do it all again!
So, on Sunday, 21st May from 11am-4pm come along to Trinity Street to party in style, celebrating all the characters and independent businesses that make Trinity Street the most unique street in Colchester.
There will be… wait for it… a dog fashion show (really!) tarot readings, music from the very popular Loxleys Corner, traditional Spanish dance and guitar from Flamenco y Danza, arts and crafts, gift stalls, classic cars, jewellery stalls, food stalls, gift stalls, yoga and complimentary healing, a tombola stall, a word competition, a Roman board game, authentically outfitted Tudors (yes, real Tudor people!), a book stall and much, much more… Wow! What's not to love? It's the best of a village fete in the very centre of town!
So, if you’re at a loose end – what am I saying, cancel all plans! – come along to support and celebrate Trinity Street and its traders.
If we don’t use our local independents, Colcestrians, we WILL lose them, and that would be a crying shame. Our lanes are what makes Colchester town centre so pleasant, our independents can make it thrive.
See you on the 21st!
